FT Studio Canberra

FT Studio’s “All the space to create” tagline says it all. FT Studio is one of the biggest Canberra studio spaces, with 126 square metres of studio space and 6.1 metre high ceilings. The studio also has everything you might need for a successful shoot available for hire: White, green, black and grey backdrops, soft boxes, light boxes and other equipment.

Another massive benefit of FT Studio is its controlled lighting. The studio is blacked out but features a 3.6m wide roller door, which opens up to allow natural lighting to flow in. This allows you complete control over the balance of natural and artificial lighting. Facilities include a common area with:

• A lounge, dining area, and waiting area.
• Bathroom with shower.
• Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, and dishwasher.

Lonsdale St. Studio is located in the heart of Canberra in Braddon. The studio features everything a creator might need to produce video, photography or record audio content. Lonsdale St. Studios features 3 dedicated studio spaces equipped with lighting equipment, sound-proofing and professional-grade video and audio production kits. The studio also has a green room available for hire at an extra $90 an hour, which you can use as a private space for makeup, wardrobe changes and any other preparation you might need.

Price start at $150 an hour for their smaller 4m x 9m studio and $495 half day. It’s available for five days a week with option to submit an enquiry for weekend hire.

Flow Studio

Flow studio is a little different from the other option listed in this article, described as multi-purpose private space for a range of events and creative uses. The space can be rented for one on one photograph sessions or small meetings and workshops. Flow Studio has 20 square metres of space, a skylight and plentiful natural light. It’s suitable for photographers on a smaller budget or doing portrait photography.

Amenities include a kitchen space with complimentary  tea, kombucha on tap and a fridge. You can find the studio within Flow Yoga on Dairy Road in Fyshwick. Prices start at $25 per hour or $60 for a half day, and it’s available for hire every day except for Tuesdays.

Keep Co

Keep Co is the perfect studio for fashion or product photography. It features a large 6x6m space, 3m high ceilings and natural lighting. Amenities include a 3m wide vinyl backdrops in various colours, furniture for use, as well as a clothes rack, mirror, and steamer ideal for editorial shoots. There’s also a kitchenette and dining area available for hire outside of working hours, as Keep Co is predominantly a coworking space.  Prices start at $100 an hour, for a minimum of 2 hours, or $550 for a full day.
